2D / 3D Animation Schools, Classes and Workshops
- Animation Academy - The Animation Academy specializes in the rapid development of artistic skills necessary for achieving a successful career in animation. - Animated Adventures - Animated Adventures is a company that helps people of all ages express themselves though the art of animation. The Pacific Northwest company, founded by animator Wendy Jackson Hall, blends media literacy, visual arts, and technology education in hands-on animation production workshops all over the world. Services include school programs, summer camps, and special events such as birthday parties.
- NTFS - National Film and Television School's Animation Department - The animation curriculum is built to some extent around the needs of students in each year group. This is a directing course within a film school, so a lot of the work involves learning how to build and work with a team. To encourage this process, we run collaborative workshops - with producers, writers, editors, designers, sound designers and cinematographers. There are also workshops with actors and dancers. The first year is spent developing animation skills and using these workshops and exercises to make a series of short pieces exploring relationships between animation, storytelling and the filmmaking process so that students can develop a style and approach that is their own. Students attend the London Film Festival and key UK animation events as part of the course and an overseas animation festival once during the course. UK
- SCAD, Savannah College of Arts and Design - The Savannah College of Art and Design exists to prepare talented students for careers in the visual and performing arts, design, the building arts, and the history of art and architecture.
- New York Film Academy, 3D Animation Workshops - Animation Program. It is a comprehensive training in 3-D using Alias/Wavefront's Oscar Winning software, Maya, the industry standard for Animation. Students in the 3-D Computer Animation workshops will write, animate, direct and edit their own computer animated short films. Our Animation programs do not require drawing ability. Animation students at the Academy will be able to create two-dimensional cartoons like "South Park" on the computer as well as fully rendered 3-D characters and environments along the lines of "Shrek".
