I like talking about movies about people who care about them. The one movie I am excited about that NOBODY else is is Speed Racer. I think it’...Read the full post from ArtLung BlogTags: General, comics, movies, Illustration, ... continues

Too Many MoviesStarting last week, I am targeted by Hollywood into basically being at the movies all summer long.  I am a sucker for the summertime films.  "We do not do it out of choice - we do it because we are compelled."    I think I caught the bug in 1989, the year that this and ...Read the full post from squidbagTags: film via Blogdigger blog search for "the ... continues

Speed Racer Learns from Manga, Can Teach Feature Animation a Few Things

9 May 2008
by Emru Townsend
Speed Racer Learns from Manga, Can Teach Feature Animation a Few ThingsI'm generally not a fan of live-action adaptations of animated TV shows, because they almost always disappoint. The Flintstones had fake-looking rock...Read the full post from Fr... continues

Play it again, Dad (SouthtownStar)

7 May 2008
I recently discovered an anti-tantrum trick that actually works. When my 22-month-old son starts to fuss, I quote from his two favorite movies - "Star Wars" or "The Incredibles." I can usually sidestep a meltdown for about 20 minutes by throwing out movie quotes.

Putting a Value on Worker MoraleA happy worker works twelve times harder than an unhappy one, according to Pixar's Brad Bird.
