Imax Corp., a maker of large-screen movie systems, said Monday it signed a deal with DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. to debut "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" in its theaters on Nov. 7.

NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - IMAX Corp. Monday reported a first-quarter net loss from continuing operations of $10.3 million, or 25 cents a share, while revenue fell to $6.7 million.

IMAX Corporation today reported that it recorded a net loss per diluted share of for the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared to a net loss per diluted share of for the first quarter of fiscal 2007.

IMAX Corporation and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. today announced an agreement to release Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa into IMAX® theatres worldwide on November 7, 2008. The agreement completes IMAX's integration into DreamWorks Animation's release strategy for the studio's next five theatrical releases from June 2008 to May 2010.
