More details of a new joint Chinese-Japanese anime adaptation of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel classic were revealed at The 4th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou on April 28. The novel depicts the tumultuous warring period of second-century China and the political intrigue between the different factions.

Oliver Martin "Ollie" Johnston Jr., the last living member of the celebrated "Nine Old Men" of Disney animation whose work set the standard by which all character animation is judged and a recipient of the National Medal of Arts, has died.
