In some cases a single visual subject offers different views. Each image can be downloaded at different resolutions. Some high resolution images go higher than 3000 by 2000 pixels.
There is a limitation in the amount of files you can download at once, the Quota. Right now I see I have a 15 MB Quota that is going down each time I download a new texture. Considering that one high-resolution texture can weight even more than 1 MB it would make my Quote worth less than 15 textures per session.
Regarding the usage license: “The textures can be used for free in 2D or 3D computer graphics, movies, printed media, computer games and 3D models and even bundled with your 3D model or scene and sell it as a package. But you are not allowed to sell or redistribute the textures.”
Registration to access the textures is not required because everybody can download the same textures but Members do have access to larger versions of some special textures (such as the panoramic skies).
