Carlo Cestra has more than 10 years of experience in the industry of Broadcasting, Visual Effects and Digital Compositing for Television and Film industries. As a parallel activity Carlo pursued a career as a Documentary Film Director and Author specialized in historical reconstructions and archaeological documentaries.
Bio sketch
Carlo was born in Rome, Italy and always worked there. While he aims to have an international success with his unique stories set in the recent and ancient history, he believes that one must be faithful to their country and try to get the best and give the best to the market and to the community.
While Mr Cestrum’s background could be largely compared to most popular VFX artists’ one, he could afford to many years of experience in the field of live broadcast where time, efficiency and problem solving are the key skills needed. That is why in the later part of his career, Carlo Cestra, worked as a supervisor of an entire Compositing department in the largest 3D animation studio in Italy.
Calm, relaxed and thoughtful. You never have the impression he is worried about anything or in a hurry for something. With a measured voice he told me his tales of victories and failures during two days of delightful journeys in the past. The past of Carlo, the past of Italy, the past of Rome, Greece and all the greatest ancient populations.
In year 2008 Carlo is pursuing a career as an independent documentary filmmaker with a specialization in ancient and modern history.
