What’s your relationships with Italy? What would you suggest to somebody in the World who would want to follow your path?
Well Italy, even from a career point of view, represents my roots. In Italy my dream was born and grew up and in Italy I attended the university which helped me in some ways and where I studied as a self-taught. In Italy I also worked for two years before realizing that if I really wanted to step up and grew as a pro I needed to move away. Italy unfortunately does not offer much and I’m sorry there are, for sure, good talents there forced to work in a situation that does not improve their knowledge and above all so often lacks the minimal basis of a working collaboration environment. (The story is: I work, you pay me). I don’t want to go down that road but the real problem is the lack of visual culture and the fear of what’s new and risky on one hand, and employers on the other hand.

What do you think about the latest film and TV series?
There are few TV series I constantly watch, like “24”, but generally I collect and watch TV series I grew up with, like “X-Files” and “The Simpsons”. I really love “Friends”.
From a CG point of view the TV budgets and time schedule are so tight that the general quality of visual FX for TV series is very low. That’s a pity because it’s a medium I really like. It has lots of potential.
