Tutorial Digital Painting: how to paint grass with Adobe Photoshop

The final digital painting of grass done following the tutorial with Adobe Photoshop

A nice tutorial with written instructions and step by step images to paint grass with Adobe Photoshop and, I presume, with any other digital painting software. The technique consists of creating single blades of different shade, to assemble them together in a bush and to replicate then the bushes to create an entire lawn. Simple and very effective.

I tried to find tutorials as good as Shannon’s but this is the best I could do: Painting Rocks and Grass in Photoshop.
